one of the better fruited sours ive had this summer, strawberries and huell melon hops, i absolutely adore it. after a long week of drinking beer every day, i almost skipped out on having one while we were here, physical fatigue, the kind of health consciousness you only get after a binge, but on their airy deck late morning overlooking the river, it was impossible to pass, i am a beer guy through and through, and this one was just calling my name after watching my wife suck down a fresh ipa for a few minutes! a light pink hue to this, some haze but also a low glow, short lived head from the tap but this is plenty fizzy to drink, lovely color, not overly saturated but you can tell its fruited. the aroma is wonderful, no doubt its real strawberries, some tartness and some sweetness, really its not that bacterially sour, but my mouth waters anyway, red florals, currants, strawberry jam of the highest order, peak ripeness on the fruit, and the hops are so cool, distinctive, not lost to the fruit and also making no attempt to overtake it, definite juicy character, orange and cantaloupe notes there, some grassiness too, resplendent freshness, still clean and minimal on the souring, sweet for a second from the berries of course. the flavor is even better, the realest fruit profile, the hops perfectly woven in, a match made in summer heaven. notes of rose wine and also of mimosa, neat terroir, amazing interplay between fruit and hops, and just enough of that seed character to prove its authenticity, as if more proof was needed, just slightly off dry at the end, max flavor. really not very sour, its only tangy, right on to flatter the fruit, and grain is light in here too. some body, good carbonation, almost daquiri vibes here, the hops are subtle but really make this special. among the best beers ive had from these guys so far, absolutely fantastic, restorative, and fun!

Can from The Beermongers
The nose is clean, fruity strawberries, bright, clean, slightly artifical. There is a strong seltzer like feel, with brisk carbonation, extremely dry base and minimal malt. Mild lactic acidity, dry, with no funk, on a simple malt base. Carbonation lends mild acidity. Watery. Boring.
