A big, fat, juicy double IPA oozing with tropical fruity goodness. We used Citra, Calypso and a new, experimental (unnamed) South African varietal to develop flavors and aromas of kiwi, apricot, cantaloupe and mango.

Outsized head, filled almost half the glass during the pour, airy and dimpled, cream white. Hazy amber color with a large amount of visible particulate floating throughout, no visible carbonation, looks like a stagnant river. The nose displays a strong cracker, bread crust component with minor dankness, if that. Scents of melon, apricot, kiwi are present but it’s more thick and dewy than juicy, not getting much by way of citrus scents. Full-bodied, dry during the mouth entry but gets juicier as it fills the mouth. Pine needle, naval orange and a hint of mint. More pear, green melon, kiwi, apricot, quite similar to the nose. Carbonation level is good, no lack of churn. Minimal cracker here, the tarry dankness elevates slightly. Really not sure what to make of this, does not seem all that well harmonized and thus foursquare. (Canned 6/1/20)

Great color of golden straw...low to moderate carbonation as the head was gone early. Nice malt background and balanced hop profile. Read a review that it was juicy which I didn't get. Not a west coast pine fest either. Overall it is an average to above average beer.
