Blue Hearts have become a symbol of support for our frontline healthcare workers. We brewed Blue Hearts to toast their enormous and often thankless efforts. Naturally soured and conditioned on over 450 pounds of blueberry puree, Madagascar vanilla beans, Ceylon cinnamon and lactose, Blue Hearts is like a blueberry creme brûlée in a glass. Cheers to you!

Finger plus of pinkish white foam that sizzles off like it’s on a country skillet, leaves a thin dusting and after a minute nothing. Glowing watermelon pinkish red hued liquid, translucent with a good amount of bubbles visible throughout. The blueberry comes through clearly in the nose, maybe a bit strawberry too, a lemon scent helps it stay stiff, sweet undertones of pie dough to crust, has a kind of vinous quality. About as full-bodied as this style of beer gets, sour but not excessively so. Likely due to the cinnamon and vanilla causing the pie crust flavors to explode across the palate. Arguably more dominant than the blueberry. Lemony here too, maybe even vinegary. To me, beers like this aren’t about complexity per se but nailing the basics. And I think this one does a very good job of that. (Canned 1/8/21)
