To celebrate the Oktoberfest season, we brewed the traditional well-loved lager of the festival - Wiesn! Brewed with only pilsner, Vienna and Munich malts and balanced with imported Bavarian noble hops, Bonetoberfest lager delivers all of the toasty, biscuity, honeyed layers of subtle malt complexity with just the right amount of floral, meadowy hop nose and ultra clean, crisp, German-style lager finish.

A: Strong white bready head sits two fingers above with a slightly hazy medium orange colored body. Strong sense of macro-bubbly effervesce of good density and stays strong long. Thick clumps of lace decoration.
S: Upfront loaded with sweet caramel is followed by a bready and yeasty flair. Clean with some fresh greenery of noble hops. Finishes off with some freshly baked bread crust and some lightly dry orange peel.
T: Strong orange-caramel malt, earthy noble flowery hops that were fresh, green, and herbaceous leads to a good first impression. Some dry orange peel, caramel malt, toffee sweetness, and a light fruit factor, maybe a dash of banana. Dry bready finish.
M: Full body, bready thick, and milky depth with a soft carbonation feel.
O: An octoberfest that packs a punch flavor wise and full of substance mouthful wise. Nice caramel backbone, well balanced and easy to consume, well suited to style.

i like the name and i like the beer, my first from these guys. lighter than the marzen types that generally get this style name, this is more the festbier thing, which has come to prominence in recent years in the states, lighter on the grain side, less body, less malt richness, but still full flavored, decidedly german, and perfect for the season when you want to drink a bunch of beers. nice light rusted orange tint to this, decent clarity and a thick inch of white foam. aroma and flavor of nutty munich malt, toasted but without a lot of the caramelized heft, its lighter than that, with some crackery and biscuity pils malt character too, built a little lighter but it works. the yeast is old world, classic for the style, and well deployed by the brewer here, this has a crispness that suggests a nice long patient lagering, and it feels mild in body and well refined. i like all the bubbles, the hints of honey, almond, and fallen leaves in the flavor, and i like it being this easy drinking while also still having a frothy feel. dry at the end but balanced all the way, herbal hop character with the right amount of bitterness helps the finish, and overall i thought this was quite well done. this will certainly work for anyone preferring a lighter take on the oktoberfest.

Clear amber appearance.
Around a medium body with about the same for carbonation, overall a very nice feel.
Aroma is caramel, malt, doughy yeasty bread, cereal and some grain.
Taste for the most part follows the aroma, mildly sweet, flavorful and well made.
This was another well done beer from a very good brewery.

Looks like a pale lager. Pour clear yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is mild biscuit. Taste is more festbier than it looks. Mild caramel and biscuit dominate. Feel is good, low bitterness. Overall it's decent flavor and easy drinking.

This beer pours almost crystal clear and has a darker shade of pale color. The initial head had some nice legs to it and slowly settled to splotchy opaque layers of white. It left behind some minor lacing as well.
It smells very pleasant, mostly notes of honey, bread, and some slight floral hoppy notes.
The taste is similar but with some of the hoppiness showing itself more than it did in the nose. The bread aromas come on with more detail in the taste, almost like lightly toasted crust. After that the hops kick in really nicely, floral and snappy.
The mouthfeel is very nice, it has a medium body with a really nice creamy carbonation. The hops leave a pleasant slightly spicey and floral after taste. Lowe bitterness with a very clean and dry finish.
Another great lager from Bonesaw, I really like the hops on this one. They're very balanced in the beer and add an extra layer to it. Far from front and center, and in no way overly hopped, but something that makes this beer pleasantly different but still similar enough to the festbiers I have had and enjoy.

Poured big, thick non soapy head. Golden festbier wiesn, not a marzen. Standard golden lager, dortmunder-esque. Not bad,not very good. Would not have again.
