Bonesaw Brewing Co. "Red Hearts"
16 fl. oz. can without production codes or freshness dating
$5.79 @ Total WIne & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a hazy peach colored body beneath a short head of white that's already gone. There are plenty of bubbles rising though. It has the mineral note that most sour beers do, and a generic fruit note. The flavor is much clearer as far as the raspberries go, and the vanilla is fairly strong, you're not going to miss that. It's tart but not too tart, and the malt is just lightly sweet. It finishes dry with the acidity clearing quickly and leaving a dull apple-like flavor behind. Ahh, the vanilla lingers as well. It's light-medium in body and crisp. I can't say I'm impressed by this but it's decent enough.

Pinkish white foam reaches over a finger and sizzles off extremely rapidly to nothing, no lacing either. The liquid is a sort of day-glo watermelon pink, translucent. As expected strong raspberry presence to the nose, some floral mist and lemon spray, not much going on but what's there has admirable persistence. Medium-bodied, the carbonation makes most of its impression during mouth entry. More of a mineral water and citrus profile here with the raspberry fruit stepping back a few paces. Clean enough finish. Solid beer, probably best with chocolate desserts.
