Bonesaw Brewing Co. "Cherry Cordial Queen"
12 fl. oz. can. The canned on date is illegible but appears to be 12/13/24. Sampled on 08/13/25
$2.33 @ Wegmans, King of Prussia, PA
Notes via stream of consciousness: It smelled like candied cherry upon opening so that's a good sign. There's a good bit of carbonation to it as it's old but the body is a hazy gold with visible particulate in suspension beneath a massive head of bright white foam. The aroma offers cherry along with something that I can't quite figure out. On to the taste... the cherry remains, and it doesn't come across as artificial. There's some chocolate as well which is both weird and interesting at first. The label reads "...conditioned on cherry purée, vanilla, cacao nibs, and maraschino cherries" so it's all real. It's starts with cherry but then the chocolate steps in midway, and it finishes with chocolate. The malt is basic and hangs out in the background while the chocolate and cherry do their thing. It's not bitter but it is slightly acidic, perhaps because of the higher level of carbonation. In the mouth it's medium-light in body and very crisp, but again, this is an older sample that probably wasn't kept cold. I like it, and it's unique.

It is so good! It’s like drinking a cherry cordial in your beer. You get the hint of the Cacau nibs at the tail end of each sip. It’s not overly sweet either. It’s just right. Very well balanced for the style. Very crushable. I recommend it. Cheers!
