Generic sports bar & family restaurant vibe, slick and clean with shiny surfaces. Formerly this was the failing brewpub known as Randy’s Fun Hunters. It was turned over and rehabbed, and has been open for a couple of years now.
The beer selection was ok, they had about 6 house beers and more guest taps than that. Plenty of macros, always a disheartening sight at a brewpub, even the chalkboards listing the house beers were bud light branded.
Quality of the house beers were average to below average. Porter was decent, oatmeal stout was a Guinness clone, thin and flavorless and served on nitro. The amber tasted like butterscotch from all the diacetyl. Session IPA was thin but fairly hoppy at least. Unfortunately they didn’t offer tasters beyond a full flight. 16 or 23 ounce pours only.
Service was good, very friendly and timely, though the bartender was 21 and wasn’t really beer savvy.
Overall it was a mediocre experience, nothing out of the ordinary in the beer department. Second Salem down the street has way better beer, not even close, and the food there was good too. 841 supposedly has a good menu though I didn’t try it.
