Deep, dark brown body, with the pour building a full, mocha head, frothy and holding several minutes retention.
Dried fruit abounds through the aroma - raisins, prunes - quite sweet, accompanied by a lighter sense of chocolate and dark roast coffee grounds.
Taste repeats the aroma - dried fruit and lighter touches of roasted malt. Relatively speaking, it's lighter in flavour, even watery, and the body is lacking substance, light in carbonation too. The resulting finish comes up short. It's kind of like having a coke that's sat out for a while.
The flavour profile is fine for the style, but there's no punch or substance, and the body is weak. Skip it if you see it, but try their stout.
