Cloudy, yellowish color. Modest head but it sticks around. An occasional spot or streak shows up.

There's a good darker malt aroma despite the color--it's bready and lightly toasted. A touch of cream with a very mild hop spice nose.

Lighter body and carbonation. The malt takes a back seat to the hop in the taste. The flavor is closer to the pale malt than the smell lets on. The swallow brings forward a strong yeast bite. There's also a bit of grapefruit rind bitterness from the hop.

Bought from a local Montreal grocer for 5$. Poured from can into small beer mug at fridge temp.

Appearance: Opaque golden colored liquid with noticeable particulates floating around. A thick head that dissipated after a few minutes that leaves good lacing on the glass.

Aroma: citrusy, oranges, mild pine.

Flavor: Pine, citrus, orange, orange peel, a moderate bitterness on the finish. Like drinking an IPA in a boreal forest.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Quite dry finish.

Overall: A nice rendition of the Western IPA. It has all we would come to expect of an IPA - the citrus and bitter hopiness.
I quite liked this one, it had a nice bitterness, but at times almost too much for my liking, citrus, all under the IPA backbone.

I recommend this one for IPA and hop lovers.

A-Nice amber colour with a slightly off-white head that lingers with a really nice lacing
S-I have a really hard time picking up any aroma, if anything there is a slightly floral earthy smell combined with sweet malt
M-Nice pillowy mouthfeel with body in the medium range and medium carbonation higher than I’d like.
T-The flavour goes really well with the name it is definitely a Piney simcoe forward flavour profile.
O-A very nice beer, more west than East Coast, well worth a try.

16 oz can; no date info
Pours murky gold.
Best attribute is a clean, dry taste....bit of similarity to a brut IPA.
At 5.5%, a bit too light
The fantastic hop manifest -- Amarillo, Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy ---- simply don't appear in the taste or aroma. Real disappointment.
Not a memorable beer, and not nearly as interesting as their Parasol DIPA.

Name means "forest" in French and is advertised as a west coast style IPA.

A: Pours a light golden color, very slightly hazy with a pure white creamy looking head. Retention is decent enough as well as lacing.

S: Medium to light in intensity. There is quite a bit of pine resin, fresh green pine needles, mangoes, green pineapple and some papaya. Light sweetness in the background.

T: Medium to strong in intensity. Quite a bit of pine needles and resin, as well as a strong hop bitterness punch with a ton of orange peel and herbal hops. Fruits are still there but not as strong. Some chalk too. Sweetness is lower than expected but at an alright level.

M: Pretty light and fluffy, as you would expect for the genre. A little amount of stickiness.

O: This is a solid attempt at a west coast IPA. Biggest prblem I have with them is that the orange peel overpowers a bit the overall taste and the beer loses balance because of it. Still, definitely worth a try for people a bit tired by the onslaught of half decent attemps at NEIPA there are these days in Quebec.
