Bright, clear and dark gold body; lasting, frothy head; sticky sheets of foam clinging to the glass. Sweet floral character to the aroma; dried berries. Big malt base; biscuit and bread crust; fine spicy hop bitterness. Heavy body; lush and mildly coarse on the palate; warm; mainly dry finish.
The brewery's web site cites this as being a single-hop IPA - Chinook specifically. I guess my smell and taste sensations don't quite find things piney, but perhaps a bit spicy. Regardless, this is a fine IPA, bringing some excellent hop presence but also delivering some strong malt counterpoint to the hop notes. Damn good stuff...

12 oz. Can

My first from this brewery.
Poured into a tulip a nice hazy golden yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger off-white head, which also leaves some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango), piney. Medium body, ABV is hidden pretty nicely, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, a tasty brew. A nice thirst quencher.
