Newest addition to Spokane, 12 weeks old as of this review in June 2018. About 10-12 taps, flights available. No food, but free popcorn. Wide variety of styles, not too bad for a new operation. Friendly open, and pretty nice vibe. Just outside of downtown area, near train station. Check 'em out.

a neat and cozy little spot right downtown, very neat vibe in here, sort of an old school feel, mellow as can be, dim lighting, a tiny bar with some seating at different levels in here and quite busy on a weeknight when i was in. they were having some sort of trivia or educational seminar or something, so local beer people asking questions, talking science and ingredients, quite cool, felt like a real hub of the local scene, information flying around, everyone laughing and sharing, great stuff, i love the educational aspect, even if its only a once in a while thing they do, glad i caught part of it. they have a small selection of taps, and i didnt really dig any of the three beers i had unfortunately, maybe i didnt order well, but their ipa, a beer featuring triticale malt, and a mexican lager were all kind of off to me in terms of fermentation, nothing clean, all a little amateur to me, not sure whats up with that. the service was great though, the bartender, so someone that was an owner, a brewer, or both, was really kind as well, got to chat a little after their event. definitely taking some pride in what they do, but it doesnt seem to be manifesting itself in relevant beer, at least not yet. the vibe was fun here and relaxing, good enough to come back for and take a chance on their beer again, but the flavors i had were not real good. did anyone else think the same?

I visited Mountain Lakes while swinging through Spokane a few weeks back. It's a neat little joint tucked into an old building on the edge of downtown.

On my visit, they had 12 beers on tap. I had a couple of flights and overall the beers were tasty; the coconut porter is a real standout. The taproom is cool, with nice brick and wood build-out. Only about 3 seats at the bar, but there are tables and places to stand and drink. There's outdoor seating also, which is nice in the summer.

They have a TV but it’s not a focus. Service is great. They do a monthly live podcast from the space — pretty cool!
