A collaboration with Tempest Brewing. Poured between 9-12 degrees Celsius. Pours motor oil black with almost no head. Looks lovely. Heavy brandy on the nose. Cherries, raspberries, slightly tart, rich chocolate, and a bit of toffee. This is a nose that keeps me coming back for more. Can't wait to try it.
The taste is incredible. Rich chocolate, cherries, raspberries, blackberries. Tons of brandy and cognac. The barrel is so strong here, and I love it. A bit of vanilla and coconut. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy. The ABV is detectable, but not overpowering. Overall, a wonderful RIS.
