Very dark brown with a fat finger of light khaki head that quickly settles into an island and crown and leaves thin sheets of lacing.
Roasted malts, chocolate malts, peanut and a little cherry and formaldehyde in the nose.
Quite bitter tasting: earthiness, slight hint of peanut skins, coffee.
Light bodied with strong, tight carbonation.
Always appreciate a chance to try this style. Easy drinking, but the strong bitterness masks subtler flavors.
