Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has an amberish color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of fruits, some yeast. Taste is the same as the aroma, light spices and alcohol are present. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can of this beer that I picked up in PA at the local beer shop while visiting in August. Seems like each year this is a slightly different beer and some years there is v2.0 or V3.0 connected to the name, and different ABVs.
Im pouring into my snifter the beer is a bright amber to copper color with a bright fluffy khaki colored head of 3 cm. This foam slowly fades , but remains as a sturdy surface covering throughout the sampling. I also get dense clingy lattice on my glass as I swirl or take a sip.
Aroma on this beer is a little bit of caramel and some light fruitiness, mixing with some spicy hops and a bit of a chalky smell. Not nearly as sweet of a nose as I anticipated for the style.
First sip reveals a medium body with smooth texture and tingly mouthfeel. Not really sticky or much heaviness to reveal the bigger ABV on this beer. Doesnt feel much like a quad to me, which I often equate with sticky syrupy texture and mild carbonation.
Flavor is closer to what I expected, some toffee and cherry mix with red grape and some sweet honey note. There is a little black peppery bite on the finish to remind me of booze, but not really any warming or heat.
The beer is fine, although its much less "quad-like" than I had hoped. Flavor good but other components are a little lacking in my opinion. Still glad to have tried this one.
