A brown beer with a small head. The beer is clear and has a low visible carbonation.
Smell is very malty with notes of breadcrust and a biscuity smell. A remarkable smell that is only found in Germany. Not too remarkable though, because the beers are brewed in Germany.
Taste is in line with the smell with a very malty and somewhat chewy taste. The malts add breadcrust, dextrines, biscuit and currants. The yeast character is very clean and leaves only traces of sulfur. It tastes like a bottom fermented beer. In my opinion this beer is more an Octoberfest.

Picked this up in Groningen on my way back from Germany.
Pours a hazy red with a brownish pale white head that leaves some lacing around the glass.
Smells sweet
Taste starts with some yeast notes and a slight sweetness, the finish is smooth with some hints of yeast.
This beer has some really nice characteristics to it, deffinetly worth a try. It's alot like your normal amber style beer but with more yest flavor.

Grunn is a new beer comming from Groningen. Appearance is ok, but harly any foam and clowdy bronze color. Smell is fresh, yeastspicy( and koreander?), hops and little malt.
Taste is malty, quiet heavy for its ABV, bitter but litle hanging yeastbitterness. Aftertaste is dry and bitter, good beer to drink as a sessionbeer.
