300 ml bottle, at home. Poured into my snifter glass. ABV 7% ours a very dark brown colour, with a thin line of off-white head on top. The size of the foam takes its toll on the duration of course, as it disappears quite fast. Some spots of lacing left behind. Only highlight the colour. Weird aroma. Molasses, stewed fruits, buttery caramel.. It doesn’t necessarily smells bad, but it’s kind of a funny smell, also those fruits smell a bit sour. Taste of roasted malts, light chocolate bitterness. Surprisingly, none of the aroma elements are present on the taste. Maybe the caramel. Some alcohol present Not bad, but nothing extra ordinary either. Medium thin body, lightly carbonated. Overall, another bock, if it wasn’t for the smell it would be easily forgetable, but at least now you will knwo it as "the bock with the weird aroma". Nevertheless, drinkable, maybe I was a bit kind with it.

Poured a tall dense foamy head that was chestnut in color. Deep brown colored beer is half way to black in the small 0.25l glass, and definitely at the darker end of the bock spectrum. Based on color and strength I'm guessing this is more a doppelbock. Aromas of chocolate, some marshmallow, and raisins. The aroma is very faint. If it were stronger I'd give it a 5.0. This tastes more like a stout then a bock, but damn it's good. Chocolate, raisins, marshmallows are found again in the flavor and joined by a bit of dark rum. There is a raw sugar sweetness that goes well with the previous flavors and helps to stave of the astringent bite of dark malts in the finish. Mouthfeel is full and soft. A bock? Really? I don't know, but it really good.

Very dark bock. Nice noise: burned malt, hoppiness, little yeast even a slightly touch of raisins. Hops and malt in the taste, with has a very bitter base. Mouthfeel is very bitter, burned and yeastly. Also very dry, mouthsticky, little astringent. Body is medium/full, carbonation is normal.
Good beer, but not in style of Dutch bocks, a little lack of sweetness. Although, drinkability is good. Proast!

BB 25-07-06. Not much head and a very darkbrown beercolor makes appearance avarage. Nose is like pilsener, maybe litle roasty but hard to recognise in nose that this is a dark bock. Litle maltyness is about the only smell I could pick up. Taste is also very empty having lots of caramel collorant bitterness, superdry and very unplesant and high bitterness. No this is most certainly not my type of bock and just hope for the brewery that they find some lovers of this beer. Empty mouthfeel also and drinkable but another question is enjoyable.
