Dutch brewed bockbier, actually from the north of Netherlands, named after the roman emperor.

Looks dark brown, with a modest creamcoloured head, modest carbonation.

Smell of fresh roasty malts and dark dried fruits (raisins, dates figs). Also caramel in both smell and taste. Bittersweetness like a good bockbier.
Mouthfeel is a bit watery, with the alcohol being upfront.
Not easy drinkable. it's got not much carbonation, and the alcohol should have been masked better.

All in all, an ok bockbier.

A dark copper beer with a thin, but creamy head.

Smell of light roasted caramel and toffee with nice, subtle bottom yeast notes. A very mild smell.

Taste is malty and has toffee and dextrine taste. This beer has mild bitterness, that balances the malt. There is some hoppiness that goes well with the malt as well. The yeast adds some nice and subtle fruitiness that leans towards a German helles bock. It reminds me of a Maredsous 8 beer, a great balanced beer. Not a typical bock, but still very good. I had to take off points for not being true to style.
