Bias Brewing

 

funky little place right downtown, bustling near closing time when i was in, trivia happening i think, pretty much bar seating only when i rolled up, fortunately they have a real long bar and i found myself a seat. the place has a long and narrow old saloon vibe to it, but also seems spruced up in a modern way, slightly eclectic maybe, but lots of natural light through big front windows and a buzzy energy. i only had time for two beers, a near terrible saison that was flat and whack on the ferment, but then a tasty coffee blonde ale that made me wonder how one could be so bad and one that good, hard to really levy an overall quality judgement under these conditions, but i have to assume most beers here are closer to the blonde than the saison or the bar room would not have been packed like it was. they do some food in here too but i didnt eat or really even lay eyes on any of it, so will have to report back on that next visit. the tap list was diverse and there were a lot of options, the service was quite reliable for how busy they were, and even with one lousy beer i had a good experience here. ill dedicate a little more time here to drink through a greater chunk of their offerings next time, but for now its a cool space with a humble vibe and felt like a good place to hang and relax.
