Poured from 500mL can into my Belvárosi sörfesztivál tulip. Best by 6/1/25.
Appearance: medium yellow hue with plenty of haze and a thick head of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: moderately sweet with a citrusy, earthy, and yes, floral aroma. I don't think I would have guessed elderflower if I didn't know it from the label, though.
Taste: lightly sweet with a citrusy hop flavor that almost has a little bit of sharpness to it. There's also a hint of something that feels like a capsicum here -- not spicy, per se, but with a kind of peppery flavor. Kind of torn about it ... I think, on balance, though, it's good.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a good carbonation and a decent creaminess.
Overall: this one is kind of odd ... I don't pick elderflower specifically out of the mix, it's more just a general floral-ness in the aroma. An interesting beer.
