16 ounce can into snifter, canned in 5/2019. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, cinnamon, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, coconut, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of molasses, licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, char, herbal, grass, peppercorn, pine, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla, coconut, coffee, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, cinnamon, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, coconut, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of molasses, licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, char, herbal, grass, peppercorn, pine, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Mild pine, herbal, grass, pepper, roast, char, coffee bitterness; and cinnamon spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, cinnamon, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, coconut, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, dark/brown bread/crust, light dark fruit/smoke/char, herbal, grass, peppercorn, pine, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla, coconut, coffee, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with an awesome hop/roast bitter/sweet and cinnamon spiciness balance; with no cloying, acrid, astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/roast bitterness and cinnamon spiciness after the finish. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 10%. Overall this is an amazing spiced pastry stout! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla, coconut, coffee, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV, with the mildly bitter/spicy/drying finish; amazingly soft/silky feel. Amazing balance between rich oats/malts, cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla, coconut, and fruity/nutty coffee complexity; with mild earthy hops and restrained fruity yeast. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazingly spot on style example. Their best beer yet.

Dark black body.
Thin fuffly tan head.
Settles to thin outer ring.
Oily slick lace. No cling.
Nose is cinnamon.
Taste is vannila, coffee, cinnamon.
After taste is coconut and vanilla with stale coffee.
Body is thin. Creamy yet lacking fullness of an imperial stout.
Easy drinking for a 10%er
