A good beer.

Pours a dark amber color, taste is definitely malty up front. Almost has a buttery taste, but in a non-offensive way. Finishes carbonated and bitter, but still good.

Brave Woman pours a translucent brown with no head. The aroma is mellow, with notes of dark cereal. The flavor is sweet and sugary, with caramel notes and lots of dark cereal. Good feel. Overall, a flavorful Scottish ale, sweeter.

Poured from a crowler. Dark in color work a thin tan head. Smells of bread, caramel and a nuttiness. Flavors of biscuit, and caramel. Very good flavor, love the story of this beer, intriguing and good.

Had this on tap and on the beer engine.

Very similar, but you can't beat the hand pump. Thick, creamy head. Golden bronze color. Caramel and toffee malts. Biscuits. Earthy hops. Balanced, smooth, great feel. Well done.

Malt used is from Scotland, has a toasty malt character. Nut brown in colour, with no head, light bitterness toward the end.

Named after the owner's great-great-grandmother, who saved 15 fishermen in a storm, the poem dedicated to her is also on a mural in the meeting room.
