From the first Little Thistle bottling.
Poured from 750 mL bottle into snifter.
A: Pours an extremely dark brown hue with 1/2 inch dark mocha head that fairly quickly recedes to a thin skim.
S: Strong cinnamon with hints of chocolate and vanilla.
T: Cinnamon, coffee, chocolate, dark dried fruit, and a hint of vanilla. Cinnamon is overpowering.
M: Medium heavy body. Silky smooth with a slightly oily feel. Darkly sweet notes with strong cinnamon spice.
D: Toning down the cinnamon would allow other notes to emerge (coffee is barely noticeable) and turn this into a superb beer.
