Poured from 8 oz can into snifter.
A: Pours a super dark black-brown hue with 1/2 inch dark mocha head with decent retention.
S: Sweet bourbon, espresso, dry cocoa, vanilla, almond, and a hint of crème brûlée.
T: Dark dry chocolate, espresso, vanilla, sweet bourbon, almond, crème brûlée, and soft oak.
M: Medium-heavy body. Layers of dark sweetness. ABV is dangerously well hidden. Dry with moderate bitterness. With warming, the bourbon gives a bigger boozy bite.
D: A very nice barrel aged beer. The base brew is excellent and the addition of espresso and cocoa nibs contributes to the complexity.
