Our Nebulous Void base was aged in Bourbon Barrels for over a year and then conditioned on 1 lb/gallon of raw and toasted coconut. The result is an incredibly smooth and velvety bourbon character that gets washed over by waves of coconut, with a warming boozy finish.

On tap at Ansari's the other day. I ordered this along with Assassin, as I wanted to have something to compare to the Assassin. Much to my surprise, the nebulous void completely overshadowed the Assassin.
The beer pours the expected blackish brown color with good head retention and lacing. On the nose, I pick up considerable milk chocolate, mocha, light vanilla, noticeable coconut and underlying bourbon. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely in this fairly sweet impy stout. That being said, the different flavors meld together very nicely, and create a flavor profile that is greater than the sum of it's component parts. Mouthfeel is full, very smooth and quite long. Alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile, though you can tell this is a sizeable beer
Very impressive ba stout from this new to me brewery. Unlike the Assassin I compared it with, this is a beer I would order any time I saw it on a menu (not that there's much likelihood of that ever happening). Regardless, this is a brewery I'll keep an eye out for.

Poured black in color with very minimal viscosity. No head present. Big notes of whiskey at the nose followed by fragrant coconut. Taste is pure pastry stout, rich sweet chocolate followed by an abundance of coconut. Purely delectable desert; nothing like sunscreen that seems to repeat itself in other coconut beers. Whiskey is subtle but if you search for it, you know its there. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, kinda sticky from all that sweetness.
