Tap pour at the taproom. Served chilled in a taster snifter glass.
Light brown colored body. Beige colored head. Leaves behind a few spots of lacing.
Aroma of lightly roasted caramel malts.
Taste is sweet caramel malts, with some background sweet floral hops. Almost all sweet malts in the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel. Roasty but low bitterness. Coats the mouth. Good carbonation.
Easy drinking malty brew. Has a tangy note.

Riverside Brown pours a darker, deeper brown, with a very small head. The aroma has a dry straw cereal note. The flavor is dry but still a slightly sweet straw/cereal note. Good feel. Overall, it's a very nice, flavourful, no-frills brown ale.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a clear dark amber with thin white ring head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had rye bread notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet multi grain malt base with subtle grain and finishing hop presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.
