A great example of a hefe. Medium carbonation. Some bananas and cloves. Very refreshing and easy to drink. Delightful but not very complex.

Had on tap. Murky yellow body, pinky finger of white foam. Aromas of cloves, wheat, lemon juice, and a hint of cracker. Wheat, lemon zest, clove is the trifecta of taste, not much else. Feel is thin and light, wheat needs more umph, malt verges on watery, yeast is ethereal. Solid

From a 16oz can:

Appearance: Slightly hazy pale yellow, big head.

Smell: Dominated by cloves and mild lemon.

Taste: A little hoppy bite, some lemon notes, mild wheaty sweetness and mild clove, a little more tanginess around the edges.

Overall: Adventurous is more known for their hazy IPAs but I wanted a “session” beer for football. The hefeweizen is tasty enough. Kind of a mild take with maybe a little more hop bite than your typical hefeweizen.

Can from John’s poured into new Ayinger hefeweizen glass. Enjoyable - kinda a cross between hefe and those labeled as pale wheat ale.
