Pours black with a finger of khaki foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is citrus, mingled with resin and dank hops. Toasty and roasty malts balance out the hops, while adding in their own bitterness. Flavor profile is citrus, resin, and dank hops mixed and matched with toasty, roasty, biscuity malts. It creates a quality balance, that while leaning dark, still provides a lively hop performance. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a fuzzy, lightly fizzy texture. Overall, a quality black IPA that pairs evergreen-like hop notes with dark malts.
