I had this beer on-tap in kind of a stemless wine glass at the brewery in Tulsa.
Appearance: rich brown hue with a thin layer of tan foam atop.
Smell: very malty and sweet with a kind of malted-milk-ball thing going on. Promising!
Taste: quite sweet and caramelly with a bit of both toffee and coffee. Menu says this is only 5% but seems much sweeter than that would normally imply. A nice dessert beer.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: while this is a pretty good dessert beer, it’s a lot sweeter than my palate is looking for in a brown ale.
