16oz can, purchased at the taproom. Canning date of '11/19(2024)'.
Dark brown colored body. Beige head. Leaves some traces of lacing.
Aroma of lightly roasted malts, coffee, and chocolate.
Taste of roasted malts, with flavors of molasses, caramel, chocolate, and coffee. Stays more bitter than sweet. Aftertaste mellows with milk chocolate and a touch of vanilla.
More than medium mouthfeel. Creamy and smooth texture. Good carbonation.
Rough at first, but smooths out to leave a better impression.

From a 16oz can dated 7/8/24
Beautiful pitch black pouring beer with no light shining through the glass. There's a 2 finger tan colored head that has a small bubble/frothy look to it. The head retention is good, and there's a bit of lacing on the glass.
The aroma is very rich. I just get a ton of dark chocolate off it. I also get a huge roasted coffee hit. Hint of caramel also shows up.
The flavor is so rich. I just get a huge dark chocolate hit to this beer up front. The back has an amazing roasted coffee flavor. These flavors just are so right together, and are all from the malts. Getting a faint hint of caramel also.
The body is so smooth and rich. Very full for the style. Almost creamy feeling.
Wow! I just don't know how much more impressed with this brewery I could be. This beer is amazing.
