Had on-tap at Burning Barrel in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a tulip pint, hazy and faded yellow-orange with a thin layer of suds covering the surface. Lacing is good with a halo atop with broken streaks streaking downward, devolving i to small spots.
Smell - Citrus / Lychee, green leafy character, and mild floral notes.
Taste - Follows the nose. Mostly a light citrus and leafy profile, with lesser floral and earthy undertones hitting by mid-taste. Finishes with mild orange pith, leafy green notes and traces of floral and earth flavor.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair, tingly carbonation. Drinks easy enough with a fairly dry finish.
Overall - Damn solid, unique take on a hazy IPA. The use of only Aussie hops is a cool idea, and adds to the uniqueness of the brew. While not as inviting and friendly drinking as Today's Disaster, this definitely has a unique, desirable quality to it.
