Had on-tap at Burning Barrel in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a 16oz tulip, opaque and salmon pink with a mostly barren surface and a razor thin ring around the edge of the glass. A few small spots make up the lacing.
Smell - Berry sweetness with some gastro like acidity.
Taste - Tastes better than it smells but its more sweet than tart. Berry sweetness mostly, with a touch of lime tartness.
Mouthfeel - Light-bodied with light, spritzy carbonation. Easy drinker with a crisp, refreshing finish.
Overall -A new brewery just getting their feet wet, but this was not impressive. That said, I've had sours from highly successful, highly respected breweries that were worse than this. Gets a touch more tart as it warms, but not anywhere ideal tartness.
