Had on tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up 8oz into an oversized tulip, light haze and golden orange color. Mostly barren surface with a thick ring of suds on the outside of the glass. Okay lacing, with broken lines and small spotting.
SmellĀ - Surprisingly more dank than citrusy. Orange is there, but it sits beneath that dankness.
Taste - Follows the nose. Prominent dank upfront with lesser citrus qualities. Mid-taste flips the script, with orange taking a more domineering role as it rounds out into the finish and aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Slick drinker with a crisp, mostly dry finish.
Overall - Good beer. I was hoping for more citrus freshness, but dankness gets in the way a bit, especially at colder temps.
