Had on tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up 16oz into a large tulip, crystal clear with a golden yellow hue. Mostly barren surface. A handful of small lines and spotting make up a minimal amount of lacing.
Smell - Cereal sweetness, honey and light floral notes.
Taste - Follows the nose. Cereal sweetness upfront with a touch of honey by mid-taste. Light floral hoppiness cuts the sweetness while complimenting the malt character. Finish is a nice balance of subtle sweetness, a hint of grain and light floral and grassy hoppiness.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with lively, bitey carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a crisp, dry finish.
Overall - Really good Helles lager. Nice flavor and fantastically quaffable. Perfect hot weather option.
