Had on tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up 8oz into a 13oz snifter, crystal clear and light gold in color with a thin, broken layer of suds on the surface, thickening up around the edges. Fair lacing with a band of broken sheeting encircling half of the top of the glass.
Smell - Hoppy, but very earthy, floral and pithy. Not a great aroma.
Taste - Tastes better than it smells, but still no real balance. Earthy, floral hoppiness with lesser pith bitterness toward the finish. Really not much else. Nonreal balance here.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a slightly dry finish.
Overall - Well made, unfortunately the flavor profile has a lot of earthen bitterness that shows little sweetness or acidity to balance that out.
