Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a snifter, hazy and dull orange in color with a thin, broken layer of suds a fair ring around the edge of the glass. A handful of small spots make up the lacing.
Smell - Lemony, cereal and creamy sweet aroma.
Taste - Follows the nose. Plenty of lemony character upfront and throughout, while oats add some malty flavor and the lactose adds a creamy element. Finishes much the dame, with lingering mild lemon character and cream.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Firm texture throughout. Fair creaminess.Finish is slightly dry.
Overall - Good, but not feeling the mostly lemony overtones going on. Like artificial lemon; Fruit Loops comes to mind, and the oat and lactose give creedence to that cereal-like experience.
