Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a 13oz snifter, opaque and dark violet in color with a pinkish layer if suds sitting atop. A few small spots make up the lacing.
Smell - Nice blend of lemon and blackberry tartness, with hints if cinnamon and vanilla.
Taste - Blackberry and lemon notes shine, while the cinnamon and vanilla take a backseat. Lots of lemony tartness in the finish, and a touch more vanilla emerges in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a mostly dry finish.
Overall - Really good. A bit more cinnamon would have been nice. Better than Vol3, but I prefer Vol2 and 1, respectively.
