Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Breeing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up into a snifter, clear and golden orange in color with a thin, broken layer of surface suds.
Smell - Sweet orange and caramel combo, with hints of pine and spice beneath.
Taste - Follows the nose. Orange up front with a bit of pine and spice bite. Caramel sweetness mid-taste that adds some balance. Hint of tangerine in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a slight dryness in the finish.
Overall - Classic West Coast IPA, and a good one at that. Reminds me a bit of Racer 5.
