Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in an oversized tulip, clear and bright orange in color with a thin, broken layer of surface sudd. Fair lacing with thin, broken webbing, a few lines and some small spotting.
Smell - Lots of dank on the nose with lesser citrus. Fruity berry undertone.
Taste - Citrus upfront before a punch of dank pine mid-taste. Pine lingers but a bit of berry sweetness and zing add some fruitiness in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair carbonation. Slick, smooth and with a light hint of creaminess before a slightly dry finish.
Overall - Liking the citrusy front and the touch of berry at the end, but the dank note feels a bit misplaced between the two. I like the beer, but that dank flavor is keeping me from loving it.
