From tasting notes 8/13/19
Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in an oversized tulip, faintly hazy and deep golden orange in color with a thin, broken layer of suds and a ring around the edge of the glass. Some broken lines and a few small spits make up a sparse lacing.
Smell - Citrusy notes of lemon and grapefruit with hints of pine and spice, and a toasty malt undertone.
Taste - Follows the nose. Lemony flavor upfront before lesser spice and pine kicks in. Lightly toasty, bready malt backbone. Hints of grapefruit pith hit in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker before a crisp, slightly dry finish.
Overall - Damn solid West Coaster. That lemony character is nice without being overpowering. Nice balance.
