Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a 13oz snifter, murky and deep violet in color. Thin, broken layer that dies down to a barren surface. No lacing.
Smell - Tart and with strong berry notes. Lesser vanilla and cinnamon.
Taste - Follows the nose. Strong berry flavor to start, followed by lighter tartness that strengthens toward the finish. Cinnamon and vanilla hit midtaste before fading, giving way back to that berry and tartness in the aftertaste and finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied, slick with fair carbonation. Easy drinker before a mostly dry finish.
Overall - My favorite since Vol 2, and maybe on par with Vol 1. Love that berry goodness.
