Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in an oversized tulip, opaque and faded orange in color with a mostly barren surface and a thin, broken ring around the edge of the glass. A few small patches and a handful of small spotting make up a sparse lacing.
Smell - White grapefruit with lesser tropical character in mango, pineapple and a bit of melon.
Taste - Follows the nose. Solid white grapefruit base while lesser notes of pineapple, mango and melon. Slight earth. White grapefruit really becomes prominent as the brew warms, leaving a bitter, pithy finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with a fair, bitey carbonation. Fair drinker that gives way to a mostly dry finish.
Overall - Nice flavor. Not the smoothest drinker but it drinks well enough. Would drink again.
