Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a 13oz snifter, black with cola brown edging and a thin, tan head covering the surface. A few lines and tiny spots make up a minimal lacing.
Smell - Deep, fudgy aroma. Faint oak and a bit of booze.
Taste - Follows the nose. Super fudgy flavor throughout. Lesser vanilla. Not much bourbon character found, but what's there comes through in the finish, with a trace of oak and boozy heat.
Mouthfeel - Full-bodied with low carbonation. Smooth, creamy texture before a slightly dry finish.
Overall - Pretty darn good BA imperial. Kind of drinks like melted chocolate ice cream.
