Had on nitro at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in an oversized tulip, slight haze and orange in color with a white, pillowy two-finger width head. Good retention before down to a fair, consistent layer of sudd covering the surface. A handful of spots make up a sparse lacing.
Smell - Lemony tartness with accompanying vanilla. Lesser coconut.
Taste - Lemony tartness hits the tongue first, then fades somewhat, revealing the whipped cream sweetness and lightly toasted coconut flavors.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with that classic, creamy nitro texture. Smooth, easy drinker.
Overall - Solid. Served on nitro only. I'm not the biggest advocate of nitrogen, so that kinda sucks because I'd like to see what this beer would offer carbonated, but it is what it is.
