Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a giant tulip, hazy and orange in color with a thin, broken layer of suds and a thin ring around the edge of the glass. Fait lacing, with some flares emerging from the drink, some broken lines and a handful of spots.
Smell - Mosaic hops stand out on the nose, with its distinct fruity and slightly earthy aroma. Underlying malt hints at bread and caramel sweetness.
Taste - Follows the nose. Mosaic hop flavor is prominent, adding citrus, berries and a touch of mango. Malts are fair, adding bready base to offset the hops. Finish is fairly clean, leaving a light, pleasant, fruity hop taste in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with fair carbonation. Smooth, slick texture before giving way to a crisp and semi-dry finish. Refreshing.
Overall - Nice hoppy pilsner that is also incredibly crisp and crushable. Refreshing. For sure one of the better hoppy lagers I've had in some time.
