Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a 10.5oz tulip, deep, dark cola brown in color with a thin, broken later of surface suds. Thick band and some small spotting makes up the lace.
Smell - Chocolatey and raspberry sweetness on the nose.
Taste - Fudgy chocolate and plenty of raspberry sweetness and zing play off each other nicely. Lesser vanilla that creeps in mid-taste. Finish adds a hint of roast, helping to balance the sweetness.
Mouthfeel - Medium-to-full in body with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker before a slightly dry finish. Smooth as hell for 12.7%
Overall - Nice dessert impy stout. Good balance. A bit more dark chocolate and this thing would be golden.
