Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a large tulip, murky and mellow orange in color with a few island of suds floating about and a thick ring of suds encircling the outside of the glass. Lacing is fair, with some small patches, broken lines and spotting.
Smell - Citrusy aroma, juicy orange and grapefruit mostly, with a hint of cream.
Taste - Follows the nose. Juicy white grapefruit upfront and throughout, followed by a mellow vanilla sweetness, and then orange and cream find their way in the finish. Aftertaste lingers with grapefruit pith.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Creamy, slightly chalky texture before a dry and slightly harsh finish.
Overall - Nice tasting Hazy DIPA, but it could probably use a few weeks to mature. Perhaps I'll update my review then.
