Had on-tap at Burning Barrel Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a large tulip, cola brown in color with a mostly barren surface. No lacing.
Smell - Sweet, malty aroma with hints of toffee, lightly toasted bread and faint chocolate.
Taste - Starts with a bit off toffee sweetness, then a bit of toasted malt character comes through. Some earthy hops riding beneath. Touch of chocolate adds to the finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a slightly dry finish.
Overall - Pretty standard, classic American brown. Good, but nothing truly outstanding.
