Appearance - Pours with a slight haze and straw yellow in color, with a white finger width head. Sub-par retention, dying to a thin, broken layer of suds across the surface. A few tiny spots make up a sparse but not unexpected lacing.
Smell - Tart notes of tangerine and pineapple. Some creamy sweetness, nutmeg and cinnamon lurk below.
Taste - Follows the nose. Pineapple and tangerine tang really stand out. Hint of coconut in the finish, along with traces of nutmeg and cinnamon. Also a bit of creamy sweetness. Aftertaste lingers with tart tangerine.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Crisp, dry finish.
Overall - I had this on tap on day one release, and the nutmeg and cinnamon were more prevalent. Almost too much. It's really settled down, and I appreciate that. It allows the hint of cream to cut in, making for a more complex, but more balanced brew.
