Appearance - Poured from a crowler, murky and violet in color, with a pink, near two-finger width head that dissipates in fair time, leaving a mostly barren surface with a thin ring around the edge of the glass. A few broken lines and small spotting make up a minimal lace.
Smell - Tart fruitiness and underlying whipped cream sweetness. Berry and lime.
Taste - Key lime tartness hits the tongue first, followed by some whipped cream sweetness that follows through to the finish. Notes of berries hit mid-taste, and then a very subtle coconut flavor comes in at the end. Aftertaste lingers with tart fruit and cream sweetness.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick and with a hint of creaminess before a crisp, dry finish.
Overall - Burning Barrel has found a formula that works on a line of dessert sours, and damn are they killing it. Not quite on par with the best of their sours, but damn close. I will not be saving any of this for Carole Baskin!
