From tasting notes 05/25/20
Appearance - Pours black with cola brown edging where light can penetrate. Tan, half finger width head that displays sub-par retention before dying to a mostly barren surface and a thin, broken ring around the edge of the glass. A few tiny spots make up the lacing.
Smell - Milk chocolate, shaved coconut, very faint roast.
Taste - Follows the nose. Rich, chocolatey base with plenty of coconut from start to finish. Not much else until the brew warms, then hints of vanilla and oak come through in the finish. Aftertaste lingers mostly with sweet chocolate and coconut.
Mouthfeel - Full in body with low carbonation. Smooth, creamy drinker with a slightly dry finish.
Overall - There was a time I didn't care for a lot of "barrel influence" in BA impys, but that has changed. Lots of chocolate and coconut killing the 18 months it spent in a Breckenridge barrel. It's a great beer, I just don't like that BA influence getting buried as it has here.

Sweet roasty malts, chocolate-coconut, and whiff of barrel nose on this one! Taste follows with a thick and vicious coconut and dark chocolate bitter finish...heat from barrel comes out a bit more as it warms. Heavy on the palate...nice feel. This is good!
